Joint Declaration of the Twin Towns
Completion of EU Project Climate Partnership in Rheine/Germany

The EU project "Climate partnership – Twin towns assume responsibilty for our climate" has officially been completed as of 30 June 2014.
Nevertheless the participating twin towns plan to continue their activities. A corresponding joint declaration has been adopted at the final conference in Rheine. In this declaration the twin towns and the twin cities associations committed themselves to developing jointly in their meetings ideas, projects and measures for climate protection.
First ideas were already developed during a workshop of the final conference, for example a "Climate camp for young people", a project "Promotion of e-bikes", furthermore a project "How to get citizens to become climate-friendly citizens?".
For all participants of the conference it was important to continue the dialogue on climate responsibility and sustainability on a European level.
